We like Fed critics around here, so we like Alan Grayson for the most part. However, we are also thinking of taking up a collection to purchase him a thesaurus after he referred to Fed adviser Linda Robertson as a “K Street whore”:

The National Republican Congressional Committee is circulating YouTube audio of a U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson radio interview, where he refers to a female lobbyist who once worked for Enron and now advises the Federal Reserve, as a “K Street whore.”

Grayson spokesman Todd Jurkowski defended the comments, and said they were unearthed from an interview weeks ago to attack the GOP’s new main enemy.

“She attacked the Congressman and his efforts to promote a Republican bill to audit the Federal Reserve,” Jurkowski said in an e-mail this evening. “She actually questioned his understanding of the difference between fiscal and monetary policy. This is [a] person who used to be the chief lobbyist for Enron attacking the intelligence and motives of a Congressman who used to be an economist.”

We get Grayson’s point, but it’s semantics. “Former Enron hired gun?” Perhaps. “Sellout?” Def. But dropping a W-bomb is ill-advised.

Watch the video here. No K Street whore is gonna teach us about economics! That trick with our tongue, perhaps, we might or might not have learned THAT there, but economics? No sirree, Bob:
