I've had the same email address for well over 15 years. And as a small businessperson, that's worth every penny I gave them up to the time their service went free. Sure I have a backup gmail account, but important messages often never appear there and backup management isn't nearly as easy as aol. RIP (soon) AOL. It's because of people like my parents, who love their "favorite places" and still can't understand that AOL is not the same thing as the internet. When I told them that there is a browser called "Firefox" and that you can still be on the Internet when AOL isn't running, I just got blank stares. I know why AOL is still alive.
