April Fuld’s Day Redux

Welcome back, Mr. Fuld. We’ve missed you.

For April Fool’s day, we had contemplated a wide variety of jokes. These days, just about anything – from uncovering that Google is a ponzi scheme to Wagoner signing off on a billion dollars in bonuses as his last act at GM – seemed plausible. But we went with Dick Fuld finding a new gig, even tho’, as I said, I wouldn’t trust him at the helm of anything larger than a shopping cart (not that I think he needs such a thing, after reading he still dines out regularly at Brasserie).

But thanks to intrepid reader Greg, we’ve been tipped off that he has indeed found employment yet again:

Late Friday an assistant to former Lehman Brothers Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Richard Fuld Jr. sent a blast email saying he has landed at Matrix Advisors, LLC, located at 780 Third Avenue in New York City.

Matrix?

Neo: The program “Fuld” has grown beyond your control. You can’t stop him… but I can.

Friday was 4/3, not 4/1, so we assume this was for realsies. Best I can tell, this is the place, and I almost hope they’ve hired him as a Web designer because it looks like they could use one. As for what he is going to be doing, who knows. WSJ asked and got nothing: “[S]o far little is known about this gig. He did not respond to requests for comment.”
