Yes.  It has come to this.  We are now getting stories about how the recession has affected sharks, depriving them of the sweet man-flesh all sharks so desire.  Because no one can afford to go to the beach anymore, shark attacks in 2008 dropped to their lowest level in – and before you start thinking we’re going to see some monumentous number or statistic implying that because the recession is so terrible and so unprecedented there were fewer shark attacks last year than there have been since the dawn of man, remember where you’re reading this – FIVE ENTIRE YEARS.  Oh sweet Mary mother of Jesus stop the presses, it has been five entire years since there were this few SHARK ATTACKS and this is somehow related to the ECONOMY and holy crap has every single other angle of the financial meltdown been covered that now we’re reduced to examining how this affects got-damned SHARKS, as if this – this  - were the story that would finally make it hit home for that last guy in a Y2K bunker in Wyoming that hasn’t gotten it yet, and what’s next but a story about how millipedes are having to evolve fewer feet because they cannot afford that many shoes anymore.

Wow I think I hate everything.

nsf-financed university studies are confirming this suspicion by directly linking decreases in the dow to less bukkit 4 sharkz. these results are supposedly being used to fuel forward-thinking bailout legislation (tax credits for chum-producing businesses) in congress as we fearspeak.
