It’s Good To Want Things

Stone-cold financial fox Elizabeth Warren, who chairs the TARP oversight committee, wants more transparency into the fund, because apparently oversight is very difficult when you can’t see around, over, or through your charge.  She is also pushing Congress to demand more accountability, forgetting for the moment that this is Congress she is talking to.

Ms. Warren, your efforts are admirable, and it’s nice that you want these things.  I want a double-jointed hooker and a puppy, so let’s see which of us gets their wish first.

congress appoints someone to oversee something they’re accountable for and then the appointee says congress needs to demand more accountability from the something…something funny is going on here

  • CB

or wait a sec, did the fed appoint her?

  • Jason

Naw, the Senate (and perhaps just Harry Reid) appointed her.

Jebus why do we even bother with any pretense?

LOL I think congressmen should have to wear the logos of all their campaign contributors on their suits, NASCAR style. It would clear up a lot of confusion for everybody.

TonyS: Best idea I’ve heard in a while. Can someone get on the Photoshop of Cheney in a fireproof jumpsuit with patches for Remington shotguns and Halliburton on it? I’m sensing a rich vein of comedy gold here.

Brilliant TonyS and MrSparkle! I say photoshop Chris Dodd wearing PJs with a Fannie-sponsored trapdoor.

  • Mr.Sparkle

Pants- that’s more than I want to imagine with Dodd. But I think the elected official with perhaps the best potential is Biden. I mean come on, the guy’s from DELAWARE! That’s a total gimme – the guy is practically a joint venture between DuPont and MBNA!

Harry Reid can be photoshopped with Bandit’s ballsack on his face

If I could find a picture of the Bandit Ballsack, this would be a very different site.
