Circuit City To Sell Self Like A Common Prostitute

Circuit City, not content with merely closing a billion stores and filing for bankruptcy, has decided that the best place for itself is on the auction block.  It boasts of two tall, handsome suitors, each champing at the bit to buy the electronics retailer.  The company is not averse to selling itself as-is, or splitting itself off and perhaps separately selling some of its units such as its Geek Squad knockoff Firedog.

This announcement comes with some urgency, as the company is facing possible liquidation if it does not complete a sale by next Friday.  If that happens, you can look forward to the liquidation company marking up merchandise before marking it down, so you could buy a TV on sale for more than it cost full price from Circuit City itself.
