Just in case you were wondering whom to thank for gas prices coming down, the answer is the Lord:
Earlier this year, we told you about the “Pray at the Pump” movement, which brought prayer vigils to local gas stations, so as to petition the Almighty to bring fuel prices down. Well, now that gas has crept below $2 per gallon again, this past Wednesday and Thursday, founder Rocky Twyman and his comrades gathered again to proclaim their effort a success.
On Wednesday afternoon, they congregated at the Shell station at the corner of Upshur Street and Georgia Avenue, then again on Thanksgiving Day at the Shell on Montgomery Village Avenue in Gaithersburg. Their purpose? According to a release, it was to “thank God … for answering their prayer during this holiday season.”
Hmm. When OPEC announced they weren’t doing a production cut, they left out the part about it being due to divine intervention.

When prices go up again, will they ask God why he has forsaken them?

10,000 children per day stave in Africa — so that was thoughtful of them to use their apparent power to command God…to lower gas prices for the richest people on earth.

Great, ain’t it? Who cares how much disease or war we have as long as we can fill up for less than $30.

I have a picture of a Church of God housed in what used to be a restaurant. They kept the Pepsi logo on the sign, which now reads “CHURCH of GOD PEPSI.”

Just south of Downtown Orlando, there’s an exit on Interstate 4 for a mall and a religious theme park. The exit sign says “MALL AT MILLENIA HOLY LAND EXPERIENCE.”
Every time I go through there I am like, yeah, exactly.
